The project included a preliminary study and modeling to determine the appropriate sizing of clarifiers to meet the current State regulations for current and projected future flows. This information was used to determine the recommended number and location of the proposed clarifiers. Due to site constraints and the need to keep the existing facility operational throughout the course of the project, we worked with local Contractors to provide the most cost-efficient option that met the Town’s needs. The project is currently in the design phase with construction planned for 2019. The design includes hydraulic modeling, clarifier sizing, location recommendations, piping layout, process review, constructibility analysis, clarifier cover design, cost analysis, and permitting.
