Roaring Fork Engineering (RFE) is seeking a Civil Engineer III to join our team in Carbondale. The position is focused on land development, municipal infrastructure and transportation. The position is targeted toward an individual that wants to advance to a full project manager role.

Our diverse clientele includes the City of Aspen, Habitat for Humanity, Aspen Skiing Company, Pitkin County, the Town of Carbondale, Basalt Sanitation District, and numerous architects and developers.
Benefits
We offer a competitive salary ranging from $94,000-$105,000, dependent on relevant experience. After a 3-month probationary period, we offer comp time for hours worked over 40 per week. We also provide:

Typical Responsibilities
- Leading the design of assigned civil engineering projects.
- Managing project under supervision of assigned principal
- Overseeing the production of plans and specifications.
- Quality control and project review for junior staff
Required Skills & Qualifications
- PE license required
- Excellent communication and high-level dependability.
- Takes ownership of work, client relationships, and managed projects
- Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for professional interactions with clients, regulatory agencies, and colleagues.
- 6 to 10 years of experience in a civil engineering consultant firm or similar environment.
Additional Desired Skills
- Experience in the following areas: CDOT design standards, Water Resource Engineering, Stormwater Management, Municipal Water Distribution & Sewer Collection Design, and Irrigation Infrastructure Design.
- Personnel management experience
- Prior experience in the Roaring Fork Valley is highly desirable.
