Roaring Fork Engineering (RFE) is seeking an Entry Level Engineer to join our team in Carbondale. The position is focused on land development, municipal infrastructure, transportation, water/wastewater, and water resource engineering.

Our Portfolio

Our services mainly cater to the Roaring Fork Valley, including Aspen, Snowmass, Carbondale, Basalt, and Glenwood Springs. However, our expertise also extends to other mountain communities in Colorado like Pagosa Springs, Telluride, and Vail. Our diverse clientele includes the City of Aspen, Habitat for Humanity, Aspen Skiing Company, Pitkin County, the Town of Carbondale, Basalt Sanitation District, and numerous architects and developers. Our award-winning work, such as the “Best Multi-family Home Design” awarded by Habitat for Humanity International for a 27-unit, net-zero housing project, has been featured in numerous publications.

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $65,000 to $71,500 dependent on relevant experience. After a 6-month probationary period, we offer comp time for hours worked over 40 per week. We also provide:

Typical Responsibilities

  • Assisting in the design of assigned civil engineering projects.
  • Developing your technical (e.g. Civil 3D, GIS, Infowater Pro, etc.) skills.
  • Contributing to the production of plans and specifications.
  • Attending meetings and site visits with project manager.
  • Providing support to the project manager.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • EIT certification or plan to obtain certification.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication.

Additional Desired Skills

  • Familiarity with Autodesk Civil 3D.
  • Internship experience, preferably within a consultant office.
  • Familiarity with water resource management, including stormwater management, low impact design, utility design, municipal water supply, and irrigation.
