The project included the design of a snow melted pervious paver system heated from geothermal piping, one of the first of its kind in Aspen. Approximately 50% of the roof area is green which reduces runoff and treats water before entering the City storm system.
Roaring Fork Engineering designed utilities to serve the building connecting into one of Aspen’s busiest corridors. This included the design of a 24-inch reinforced concrete pipe (RCP) and storm line connection, the un-grading of a pedestrian corridor, and hydraulic analysis of lines to convey upstream flows through a constrained utility corridor.
